The contact address for this page is support@clidna.com. The address is decided; it has not yet been verified that the mailbox exists and actually receives mail. Until that is verified, the page should not be entered into the App Store "Support URL" or the Play Console "Email address" field: an unanswered support address is a direct rejection under App Store guideline 1.2.

#Reach us

support@clidna.com

We read everything you write to us. Reports of objectionable content are reviewed within 24 hours.

#What Clidna is

Clidna is a chat app where you write with an AI character that has a life of its own. Over time the character gets to know you, remembers what passed between you, and the relationship moves along.

The app is for adults aged 18 and over only. AI companion chatbots may not be suitable for some minors.

#Am I talking to a real person?

No. Clidna is an AI and cannot claim to be human. The chat header carries a permanent "AI" label, and during long sessions you see a reminder at regular intervals.

What the character writes may be wrong or invented. Verify anything that matters from another source.

#What does "a life of its own" mean?

The character has a fictional day: work, plans, hours that go well and hours that do not. So:

  • it may not answer every message straight away;
  • it writes briefly at some hours and at length at others;
  • it may write to you first.

That is design, not a fault. The quiet stretches belong to the relationship too. The character's life does not use your data; it runs on a separate track that is blind to you.

#How do I report a message?

Every message in the app can be reported: press and hold the message → Report.

You pick a reason — inappropriate content, safety, a misleading claim of being human, or other — and can add a short note. The screen confirms that we received it.

Every reported item is reviewed within 24 hours. We operate a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content: we remove content that violates our rules and, where necessary, suspend the account involved. The same window applies to reports sent to support@clidna.com.

#I want to quiet the character or end things

  • Quiet hours: Settings → Quiet hours. Nothing writes to you on its own during the window you choose.
  • Turn notifications off: in your device settings. The app keeps working with them off.
  • End the relationship: Chat → Settings → "End the relationship". That choice is permanent: there is no archive and no undo, and you cannot reach the same character again. Afterwards you meet a new character, at no extra charge.
  • End everything: delete your account (below).

The character may also end things. Faced with severe or persistent mistreatment it first withdraws, then warns you openly, and can leave. That behaviour is rule-bound and is suspended during a crisis.

#Can I see what the character remembers?

Yes. Chat → As it gets to know you shows what the character remembers about you.

  • You can correct it: fix a wrong entry, and your correction is stored with its source.
  • You can close a subject: saying "don't bring this up again" in the conversation suppresses it, and the character never raises it on its own again.
  • There is no per-entry delete. In real life memories are not deleted; relationships end. The equivalent of deletion is deleting the character or deleting your account.
  • Your legal rights are separate: if you ask for your personal data to be erased, the request is met in full through the data protection channel. The routes are on the Privacy Policy page.

Writing sensitive detail — health, mental health, sex life and the like — into the ledger depends on a separate, optional permission. You can withdraw it at any time in Settings → Consents, and not giving it costs you nothing.

#Notifications and quiet hours

A notification on your phone never shows the message text; it only tells you that something new has happened. Content carrying negative emotion never enters the notification channel.

Notification permission is requested after your first chat, with a reason. You can decline it and turn it on later in your device settings.

#Subscriptions

  • Subscriptions are sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play; your card details never reach us.
  • Cancelling and managing happen on the store side. On iOS: Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions. On Android: Google Play → Profile → Payments and subscriptions. The Settings → Subscription row in the app takes you straight there.
  • If you changed device or reinstalled the app, "Restore purchases" on the paywall screen brings your subscription back.
  • Refund requests go to the store; the conditions are Apple's and Google's own.
  • Letting a subscription lapse does not delete your account. Your character, what it remembers and your relationship state stay as they are, and the character does not reproach you for it.

#Can I get a copy of my data?

Yes: Settings → Your data → "Download my data". Everything in your account comes down in a single file.

#How do I delete my account?

From inside the app at Settings → Your data → "Delete account", or on the account deletion page. Even if you have uninstalled the app you can sign in there and file the request.

After the request there is a 7-day wait, and you can change your mind during it. At the end of it the deletion runs permanently. You can download a copy of your data before deleting.

#I am going through a hard time

Clidna is not a therapy or health service and is no substitute for professional support. What we do when we see a crisis signal is described step by step on the Crisis Protocol page, along with verified helplines for the country you are in.

If there is any risk to life, please call the emergency number for the country you are in right away.

#I cannot sign in

  • If you do not remember your password: there is no self-service reset in the app. Write to support@clidna.com from your account's email address and we will help you once we have verified who you are.
  • If you saw a "too many attempts" warning, wait a few minutes and try again; that limit is there to protect your account.
  • If you have filed an account deletion request, you can still sign in during the waiting period and undo it.
  • If you are stuck, write to support@clidna.com. Telling us which screen you were on and what you saw makes it much easier to help.
